Yes! I completed my first marathon. It took me 4 hours, 27 minutes and 40 seconds. (My goal was 4:30:00!)
More than 20,000 people started the race and 15,943 finished. I came in 5,492nd.
Of 8,212 females who completed the race, I came in 1,868.
And of 1,171 people between 18 and 24 years old, I came in 265.
I would write more, but I am exhausted. Just wanted to give you all an update. Check back in the next couple of days for more about my marathon experience.

Some people say I’m crazy. “Why would anyone volunteer to run 26.2 miles,” many have asked. The answer is simple really. I love to run and I love a challenge. And I'll admit that if I didn’t pay money to run a marathon I wouldn’t be as compelled to workout. I finished my first marathon, the San Diego Rock ‘n' Roll Marathon, on June 3, 2007 in 4:27:40. Now, it's on to the next marathon — and a better time. My training will include distance running, sprint training, hills and weight lifting.
